This book is being intentionally written in English. The need is greater among the English-educated. This term, though not is acceptable in its generalized version, is being used in absence of more appropriate one. Their dream of reaching America is not the result of thirst for academic excellence or for an experience in a better system of administration. It is out of feeling of inferior-superior complexes. They transform into an ‘American’ even before they land in America. The westernized ways adopted by these, are influencing masses and dragging them too, in the path of aping Americans and that is PAINFUL. This book is born out of that PAIN.
America and Bharat are not being compared and contrasted in this book. Two mindsets are being compared. There is no intention to brand one as superior and the other as inferior. The two are products of their respective attitudes. One sees what is perceivable through senses and rejects anything beyond that. There is a danger of the other also rejecting or negating the perceivable and tending to be in abstract world. A successful worldly life demands a right balance of the two, as Swami Vivekananda declared 130 years back.
